Quite different to its predecessor, the Bay Window Bus was introduced in 1967, many felt that it had lost their previous model characteristic such as an entire facelift in the front (no more split windshield and curved ‘V’ face). But, the bay window bus is designed to be more convenient to produce in a larger number, but it came with a larger, heavier and more spacious body style and still can reach 80 mph, a lot improvement then the Barndoor / Samba bus.
- Two tone Diamond blue and white exterior
- 1.6 litre flat-four engine
- 4-speed manual transmission
- Original LHD car
- Factory optioned double-sliding door
- This bus is in a great shape and driving compability, recently tuned up
- Softy-soft suspension, could go hard on speedbumps
- Full legit paper with active tax
This kind of suspension is really sought after by off-road racers using aircooled Volkswagen components, as well as being commonly used by split bus owners to convert their bus to ‘straight axles’.
