The Pajero has its roots in the 1934 Mitsubishi PX33 prototype, commissioned for the Japanese Government. Mitsubishi presented the first Pajero prototype at the 1973 Tokyo Motor Show, followed by a second prototype in 1978. Initially positioned as a rugged luxury SUV, the Pajero aimed to compete with vehicles like the Range Rover and Toyota's Land Cruiser at the time.
The 'NG’ version comes with an updated V4AW2 automatic transmission, cool features like chrome, truck-style side mirrors, and an optional intercooler for the 2.5-liter turbo-diesel engine. It's a very driver-friendly 4x4 with responsive transmission, light steering, and a smooth ride over bumps due to the front seat shock absorbers.
