However 330 hp is more than enough to have a good time, and weight was reduced from a standard Cayman chassis to create the R, which makes it the R is 150 kg lighter than the 997 Carrera.

The Cayman R has a 20 mm lower suspension than the regular version and was available as an optional Sport Suspension package.
